This project began as my first attempt to photograph people gathered around a table, and over time it has evolved into an ongoing study of human connection. The table remains a constant and symbolic silent witness to shifting dynamics, as friends and strangers laugh, converse, eat, or sit in silence. I capture these moments as they occur, sometimes directing the scene, more often observing candidly, but always seeking truth in the ordinary.
There is nothing extraordinary about these gatherings, and that is what makes them meaningful. In our fractured world, the human pursuit of genuine connection continues to prevail through shared meals, trivial debates, and comfortable silence. The table bears witness to it all, as these mundane compositions reveal the real story of how we connect.
This project grows as I do; each image is a testament to our stubbornly shared humanity. By documenting these ordinary details - a glance, a gesture, an unfinished plate - I seek to uncover something fundamental about what it means to be human together.
