In addition to the conceptual component of the project, these drawings turned out to be very similar to ink spots from the Rorschach test for psychodiagnostic personality research. The viewing time of each drawing is unlimited. When you finish with one drawing, move on to another, memorizing or recording your answer. The Butterflies project was created in collaboration with a small and adult me. While working with children's archives, I discovered a butterfly drawing; As a child, this creative process inspired me so much that during the summer holidays I created dozens of drawings of these butterflies.
The process: the leaf is folded in half, several spots are left on one side, the leaf is folded in half again – it opens and we see a butterfly. When I found these drawings, I was overwhelmed by a feeling of childish lightness, inspiration, and play. It felt vital for me to experience these emotions again, so this series is born, I am again seized with childish delight when I see how graceful butterflies turn out from a few drops of gouache.
